How to upload and share family photos

We all love to share photos with our family. But sending photos to each other using e-mail is complicated and leads to full e-mail boxes. There is a simple solution for it. Glubble for Families provides you a private personal Family photo album. A great way to store and share family photos with the entire family. As soon as you upload photos to your family album all family members, including your children, are notified and everyone can enjoy these family memories.

Uploading photos is really easy. On your Family Home page you can find the Family Album tab. Click on that and it will open your Family photo album.

Your Family album contains some default photos the Glubble team has uploaded for you. You can delete them if you want and start uploading your own family photos. To do that click on the “add photos” link.

When you have clicked on “Add photos” you will see a form in which you can upload up to 5 photos at one time to your Family Album. Click on a browse button to locate photos you want to upload from your computer.

When you have selected one or more photos you can add a short description to each of the selected photos (for example “Joey’s birthday”). Then press the “upload photos” button and your photos are uploaded to your Family Album.

Your Family album provides you with options to look at the photo in full size, delete it again, see who uploaded it and watch a slide show. Just go with your mouse to any photo and you will see a menu appear.

Glubble automatically warns all family members that you have uploaded new photos so that everyone can immediately look at them and share the family experience! No more full e-mail boxes when you want to share family photos!

And your children can enjoy the family photos a well in their Kids Page.

How to switch to the Kids Page

Within Glubble each of your children has an individual homepage that gives them access to thousands of carefully selected Web sites bursting full of fun activities, sharing and viewing photos in the family’s Photo Album and sending messages to you and other family members. The Kids Page is a safe environment in which your child can only access and search web sites you have pre-approved.

In order to get access to the Kids Page you need to create at least one child profile in your Family Page.
Go to ‘My Account’ at the right top of your Family Page, click the tab ‘Users’, and select ‘Child’.

Once you’ve added the profile information, click the ‘Save’ button and go back to the Family Page.

Now you can easily switch to the Kids Page of this child. There are 2 ways to do this. First, if you move your mouse to the profile picture of your child on your Family Page, you will see a menu appear that allows you to switch to that child profile. Select the “Switch to Lisa”  option and you are taken to Lisa’s personal Kids Page.

Remember that the Kids Page is a safe environment for your child. The only way to get out of this safe environment is to know the family password. Be sure to remember it when you change to the Kids Page otherwise you can’t get back!

Another way to switch to your child’s Kids Page is to  click the Kids Page icon in your browser tool bar.

To get back to the Family Page, click the ‘unlock’ button, and type the family password.

Tip: Do you have more than one child registered? You can easily switch between their personal Kids Pages by clicking on their large profile photo in the Kids Page. A dialogue will appear in which you can select another child and you are immediately switched to that child’s personal Kids Page.

Tip: Are you using a computer with the entire family? Please be sure that you switch to a Kids Page before you close Firefox. That way Firefox will automatically start up in the protected child’s mode.

How to add family members to your Glubble Family Page

Glubble for Families is an online activity center for the entire family. By adding new family members to your Family Page you can share family photos, send each other messages, and manage important family events such as birthdays. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins. You can add each of them so that the whole family can get together online and have fun! Adding family members is really easy.

In order to add a new family member you need to click on the “Add family member” link on your Family Page.

You can find the Add family member” link on your Family Page, right below your profile picture on the left side. When you click on that link you will be taken to a page where you can enter new family members.

Step 1: select adult or child

Glubble creates a personal Kids Page for children, in which they can play, learn and discover the web safely. Adults can access the Family Page and participate in all family activities.

Step 2: enter the details for the new family member

After choosing to add an adult or a child to your Family Page, you will see a form in which you can enter profile information about the new family member. If you enter a correct e-mail address for an adult family member he or she is invited automatically to your family page.

Step 3: Press save  and the new profile is created

After pressing the save button the new family member is created. If it is an adult, he is automatically invited to your family page via e-mail. If it is a child, Glubble automatically creates a personal kids page for him.
